Pinhoti Peak is a modern construction mountain cabin near Fort Mountain State Park. This idyllic retreat, designed by HGTV Designers, offers breathtaking views, luxurious amenities, and direct access to hiking and ATV trails. This 4,700 square foot retreat features five bedrooms, four and half bathrooms, three kitchens, and three unique living rooms to accommodate multiple families, larger groups or corporate retreats where you might desire a little extra privacy than most homes offer.

The space

Pinhoti Peak has 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths with a total of 6 beds plus 3 convertible couches.

Here’s a little more detail on the layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms:
1. The “ADU” has a king bed and bathroom ensuite. This Suite has a living room and kitchenette separate from the main house.
2. The “Blue Ridge Master Suite” has a king bed and bathroom ensuite.
3. Next to the master is the “Cohutta Bedroom” with a King Bed bedroom, that shares the “Bear Creek Camp Bathroom” (2 toilets, 3 sinks, 1 shower) with the “Benton MacKaye” double bedroom.
4. Next to the “Cohutta Overlook Bedroom” is the “Benton MacKaye” bedroom with 2 double beds and shares the “Bear Creek Camp Bathroom” with the “Cohutta Overlook” bedroom.
5. The final bedroom is on the terrace level and has one queen bed. There is another kitchenette and living room between this bedroom and bathroom, but there is a lockable door to this entire suite to provide additional privacy.

Finally, any of the 3 “sleep kits” from our sofa manufacturer can be put on any of the sofas.

Other things to note

If you’d like the pool heated for your stay, we charge $100.00 per day for 12 hours of gas heater run time daily to offset increased energy consumption.

Pool heating is recommended for our October – April guests who wish to swim. The default temperature in these months is 65 degreees to prevent freezing, but can be heated up to 90 degrees. The temperature will be set to 90 degree’s for the duration of your stay, but please note in winter there might be cold days where it might not make it that high.

The ideal water temperature for swimming and other moderate-intensity water activities is typically 78.8 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the World Health Organization.
