This cabin is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains which are uniquely positioned overlooking a large field. Our neighbors have 4 horses that peer over the fence ( nosy) pet them but don’t feed them.

Our cabin was built in 1865 at the end of the Civil War. In that very cabin a soldier and his wife raised 11 children. Our cabin is rustic and lovely. A large front porch with swing is waiting for you. Instagram @walnuthillcabin

Pets on a case by case basis. Please discuss your pet with us before booking! Some pets have done a fair amount of damage! If your pet is allowed , there will be a $25.00 per visit fee for extra cleaning! Please keep animals off furniture. If you are a stickler for privacy….the bedrooms are adjoining but separated by a door!

A reminder…this is an old , rustic, vintage cabin so stairs are narrow to both bedrooms and bathroom so please be careful! I want to thank everyone who makes the beds when they depart. PLEASE DON’T! Strip them instead. It helps me in many ways but especially I then know if second bedroom needs clean sheets.

Feel free to hike! Hiking trails available! Stroll around the pond! Make yourself at home! The picture of the waterfall is on our property and easily accessible by map!

Other things to note
There is an outdoor shower behind the cabin! It works great and is very private!
